Kathleen M. Weber passed away on Aug. 1, 2006. She greeted the world as Mary Kathleen Anderson on Dec. 4, 1927, in Miami, Ariz.

The family moved to Prescott when she was 2 years old, and thereafter moved to Skull Valley, where she spent many adventurous years growing up in Ferguson Valley.

She finished eighth grade there and began high school in Prescott. They moved back to Prescott during her senior year, at which time Kathy began working with her father, Coulter, at the Courier on the Arizona Highways magazine.

In August of 1945, Kathleen married Jacob J. Weber. In order, she and Jake had four children: Cody, Steven, Molly and Jesse.

For several decades thereafter, they were devotedly involved with the Smoki Association, a group - dedicated to the preservation and tribute of ancient Native American culture.

During her 78 years, Kathleen was known for her generous spirit, warm embraces and vibrant qualities.

Jake and son Cody preceded her in death.

Kathy is survived and fondly remembered by her brother Guy Anderson and wife Donna; Judy Weber-Lojek, her daughter-in-law and wife to Cody; son Steve Weber and wife Barbara; Molly Burnside and husband avid; Jesse Weber and wife Kim. Her nine grandchildren include Brandy, Marci, Tahna, Raina, Sommer, Kyla, Sarah, Davy and Jenna. Kathleen was also proud of her seven great-grandchildren - all boys.

She is also missed by her extended family and dearest friends, of whom she counted many. Her greatest hope was to wake up in a paradise earth and see all her loved ones once again.

A memorial of her life and love will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Kingdom Hall, 3000 Willow Creek Road, Prescott.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is meeting the needs of the family.
