Margaret L. Stewart, 78, of Prescott, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Albuquerque, N.M. and moved shortly thereafter to Phoenix, where she spent most of her life.

She met and married Bill Stewart, her loving husband of 56 years. Together they raised four children: son John (Nancy); daughters, Shirley Yancey (Dana), Patti Haltom (Randy), and Mary Stewart; grandchildren, Bill, Sharon, Mark, and Michael Yancey, Aaron and Ryan Stewart, and Nathan and Kristen Haltom; and great-grandchildren, Tyior, Mason, Briah, Rhyan, and Khoryan.

Bill and Margaret have made Pre&cott their home for the past 25 years.

Margaret loved all kinds of sports, was a champion golfer, an avid gardener, and enjoyed all arts and crafts.

She loved being with her family and was a generous, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grand-mother.

She will be missed but will live in our hearts forever.

A celebration of Margaret's life will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, at Arizona Ruftner-Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez, Prescott.
