| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona June 4, 2003 Lola Aline Purvis of Phoenix, AZ, died June 2, 2003 at the age of 87. She was one of 8 children and was born on August 14, 1915 in Neola, Utah, the daughter of Hugh and Charlotte BARNES. She is survived by brothers Hugh BARNES of Salt Lake City, UT and James I BARNES of Gilbert, AZ and sisters Stella HADLEY of Montour, ID and Ona PARTINGTON of Ogden, Utah. Lola was the widow of Lynn H. PURVIS and is survived by 3 children, Darwin W. PURVIS of Las Vegas, NV., James H. PURVIS of Scottsdale, AZ and Celia PETERS of Phoenix; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lola was a resident of Phoenix and proprietor of Lola's Beauty Shop in the Sunnyslope area for 46 years, retiring just last year. Services will be private. |
