The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona - 07/21/2006 Danford "Junior" Bennett, Jr., 38, died Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Whiteriver. Junior was born April 16, 1968 in Whiteriver to Danford and Veronica (Williams) Bennett, Sr. He was raised and went to school in Whiteriver. He graduated from Alchesay High School in 1987. He attended Eastern Arizona College and Southwest Indian Poly Tech. He worked for the BIA Forestry Service and Logging until illness forced his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, basketball and horseshoes. He enjoyed his family and friends. He was a member of the North Fork Miracle Church. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his mother, Veronica DeClay; his father, Danford Bennett, Sr.; step-father, Andrew DeClay; children, Julius Drake Bennett, Shonda Shonto Bennett and Kendrick Dale Bennett; uncle, Roy Williams, Sr.; sisters Verella Bennett, Rosie Baylish, Sue Bennett and Joy Bennett; brother-in-law, Jonathan Baylish, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Carl, Boomer, Piggy Boy, Miss Piggy, Alf, Sister, Rj, Bam-Bam, Niah "Betty Boop", Polly, Pebbles, Tigger "Outlaw", Bo-Boy "Ice Age", Raysha, Pooh-Bear "Outlaw"; Miss Pooh and Baby. A two-night wake will be held beginning Thursday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at 103 One Step Beyond. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22 at 2 p.m. at Aday Memorial Hall in Whiteriver with Pastor Lex Baha officiating. Interment will be at Whiteriver Cemetery, Whiteriver.
