The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 09/16/2005 Raymond Jess Truax, 70, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005 in Show Low. He was born March 25, 1935 in Carrizo, to the late Sly & Carrie (Johnson) Truax. He served his country as a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Raymond worked as a cowboy throughout his life and was an accomplished calf and team roper. He was also an avid walker, walking 7 miles a day. Raymond thoroughly enjoyed fishing and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Raymond is survived by his daughters, Geneva (Gerald) Banashley, Ramona (Ivan) Walker and Era Rose Truax; 13 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Troy Truax. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18 at the Riverside Church in East Fork. A two-night wake will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16. Interment will be in the Whiteriver Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements. See Also: Find A Grave |
