| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, July 28, 2009 Irene Maxine Thacker-Reid, age 89, passed away on July 27, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born on Aug. 19, 1919, in Pecos, Texas, to Monte and Mittie Davis. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Doc" Thacker; and sons Lloyd Thacker of Prescott, Ariz., Wayne Thacker of Los Angeles, Calif., Don Thacker of Tucson, Ariz., and Gary Thacker of Prescott, Ariz. Irene is survived by her son John Thacker of Houston, Texas; her sister, Dorothy Barnhill of Odessa, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, N.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Irene's name to the Prescott Samaritan Village, 1030 Scott Dr., Prescott, AZ 86301.
