Thomas J. Carlyon died July 23, 2009 at his home, Prescott, Ariz. Born June 19, 1935 in Ithaca, N.Y., Tom worked as an executive recruiter in the sales industry. He was a 45 year member of the Toast Masters, serving in San Diego, Calif. and Prescott, and loved sports, especially racket ball. Tom was most proud of his public speaking ability and his sports accomplishments in life.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Barbara; son; Tom (Cathy) Carlyon of El Cajon, Calif., daughters; Vicki (Dave) Sneed of Spring Valley, Calif., Bonnie (Leveys) Hernandez Assembly of God Missionaries serving in Nicaragua, step-daughter; Ingrid (Tom) Piros of Cranbrook, British Columbia, and step-son; Jon (Amber) Berglund of Pasadena, Calif. Survivors also include his sister, Adrian (John) O'Donoghue of Las Vegas, Nev. and 11 grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at the Salvation Army, 237 S. Montezuma St., Prescott, AZ, July 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations in loving memory of Tom be made to the Salvation Army, 237 S. Montezuma St., Prescott, AZ.

Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, AZ assisted the family with arrangements.
