Bill Thorlin Jones, Sr., 90, of Prescott, bom June 29, 1916 in Phoenix, Ariz., died Friday, August 25, 2006 in Prescott.

A private cremation will be held at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.

Bill l. Jones, Jr. passed away on Aug. 25, 2006. He was born to Gladys (Welty) and William Jones on June 29, 1916, in Phoenix Ariz.

He graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1936, where he met and married his sweetheart, Jean (Geraldine Meadows.)

Bill and Jean moved to California, where Bill worked in several capacities in the electric department at Paramount Studios (formerly know as RKO and Desilu) in Hollywood, Calif. He was a 67-year member of IBEW, Local 40.

Bill lost his sweetheart of 64 years in 2000 and returned to his native Arizona.

Bill was a loving father of four: Bill (Joyce) Jones of Prescott, Ariz.; Kenneth (Jean) Jones of Los Alamos, N.M.; Jennifer (Christian) Menard of Oxnard, Calif.; and Sara (Richard) Fossett of Prescott, Ariz. Bill is also survived by eight loving grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, Randall, Jeffrey, Glen, Robert, Rebecca and David; five great-grandchildren: Kenneth, Timothy, lan, Madison, and Mallory and many loving friends.

Bill was active in amateur radio. He passed many messages to loved ones and was always ready to help in any emergency. He was an organist and belonged to several clubs. He also enjoyed a good game of golf and cards.

Special thanks is extended to Nurses Network for their diligent and loving home care for over three years, and to Yavapai Regional Medical Center Hospice for their special attention curing his last few weeks.
