The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 4, 2009 p. A10 Frank M Scruggs, 78 of Congress, Ariz., passed Feb. 28. Frank will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years Mary Scruggs of Congress, two sons, Maury a teacher of humanities and history in California and Steve a clinical psychologist in Oklahoma; one daughter, Tanya a businesswoman in California. He has six grandsons and one granddaughter. Frank served four years in the Navy and supported causes for veterans. He was a member of Teamsters Union 683 in California for many years. He worked as a professional musician and enjoyed “jamming” with local musicians. In 1988 he retired and moved to Congress. His interests included hunting; he had just returned from a successful javelina hunt. He enjoyed golfing on his “driving range.” He had recently copied 100 new pieces of music to learn new songs for making music with his many friends in this area. Frank’s enthusiasm and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew him. As a person of faith, Frank is now at Peace. At Frank’s request services will be small and informal and will be held on Saturday (March 7) at 1 p.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home with interment at Congress Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services at the funeral home. The family requests that they be included in your prayers. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory. |
