The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 11, 2009, p. A15 Loraine Dalzell Dickinson, 90, of Rochester, Minn., joined her Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 24. She had been lovingly cared for at Seasons Hospice during a brief illness. She was born Loraine Julia Eckstein on July 6, 1918 in Peoria, Ill. She grew up in Waverly, Iowa, and graduated from Wartburg College with a music major. She taught music, math and English for many years. She was a longtime resident of Brainerd, Minn., and part-time resident of Wickenburg, Ariz. She is survived by sons Rex (Gail) Dalzell of New Richmond, Wis., Kent (Connie) Dalzell of Rochester, Minn., John (Laurie) Dalzell of Brainerd, Minn.; daughter Bobbie Lee Debros of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Aris Eckstein and Dorothy Koerner; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Frieda Eckstein, her brother Wallace Eckstein, her sisters Rosamond Gordanier, Geraldine Adix, and Carole Goff, and her husband Robert Dalzell an Vernon Dickinson. A private memorial is being planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Rochester, Minn. |
