The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 1, 2009, p. A13. Steven A. Koehler, age 50, passed away June 19. He was born August 21, 1958 in Hamilton, N.Y. Steve came to Arizona following his military service in 1984. He had moved to Wickenburg 12 years ago from Phoenix. He had been involved in tire sales as an owner/distributor most all his life, beginning at an early age in New York working for Montgomery Ward. He was known in the industry throughout the state of Arizona. He loved the outdoors and the desert and enjoyed horseback riding and off-roading in his jeep and on quads. He was an avid runner, usually running five miles a day for the last 20 years. Steve was very generous with his time and in helping others. He is survived by his parents; daughter Kayleigh Koehler and her mother Connie of Wickenburg; sister Cindy Koehler of Colorado; girlfriend Katie Douglas of Surprise; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service was held on Monday, June 29 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg. The family suggests any memorial contributions be made in Steve’s memory to an education/trust fund for Kayleigh Koehler, payable to the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory. |
