Donald Clark Strudgeon

Donald Clark Strudgeon, age 84, passed away June 19. He was born Oct. 7, 1924 in Saginaw, Mich., to the late Walter and Elsie (Gelhar) Strudgeon. Don was the oldest of three children.

He married the love of his life Norma Mary Johnson on June 1, 1946. After their marriage, they made their home in Flint, Mich., and were blessed with twin daughters in February 1954.

Don was a general supervisor at AC Spark Plug, retiring in 1980 after 35 years of service. Don and Norma spent the past 29 years since retirement between their homes in Au Gres, Mich., and Wickenburg, Ariz. Don lived life to the fullest and was known for his honesty and quick wit.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years Norma; daughters Jill (David) McQueen, and Jan Strudgeon-Grissom; grandson Jason Donald DeWayne Grissom; brother Walter (Ann) Strudgeon; sister Dorothy (Richard) Gale; sister-in-law Alberta LaRiviere and her companion Woody; brother-in-law Ed (Louise) Johnson; and sister-in-law Shirley and the late Earl Johnson; along with many friends.

Cremation has taken place. According to Don’s wishes, no services will be held.

Arrangements were entrusted to the C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc. Au Gres Chapel in Michigan.
