The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 22, 2009 Libby (Elizabeth Lillian) Mustian Franklin of Wickenburg passed peacefully into the Lord’s embrace on Wednesday July 15 in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was born on Dec. 21, 1947 in Graham, Texas, the daughter of Earl Leonard and Lila Mustian. Libby was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland, Texas, and attended Hardin Simmons University and the College of Santa Fe where she earned her nursing degree. She worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Pojoaque School District for many years. Upon moving to Scottsdale, she worked for the Paradise Valley School District, Hospice of the Valley, and later for Remuda Ranch until retirement. She was preceded in death by her father Earl Mustian, her brother Lynn Mustian, and her granddaughter Caelynn Laine Seiler. She is survived by her loving family, including her husband Jim Franklin, her children Burke (Patty), and Patrick Schroeder, Rebecca (Tom) Seiler, and her grandchildren Jack, Harrison, Katie, Tucker, and Riley, her sister JoAnne Hallstrom, and her mother Lila Mustian. Services were held Monday (July 20) at 9:30 a.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel followed by a graveside service at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Donations in her name can be made to Hospice of the Valley’s Sherman Home in Phoenix, 5801 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85054, 480-585-0909. Libby will always be remembered for her love of the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren and family. She touched the lives of everyone she met with encouragement, love and prayer. She will be missed dearly forever by all who knew her. She left an incredible legacy.
