Donnie Danford, 21, died Sept. 10, 2004 in Phoenix.

He was born in Whiteriver where he attended school until he was 16. From age 11-17 his Aunt Margaret helped to raise him, they had a special relationship. He then transferred to Oklahoma where he graduated from Riverside Indian School. Upon graduating he returned to Whiteriver to live with his father. He served fighting fires when the need arose. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also liked to play his guitar, listen to music and watch movies. He was a very quiet person who will be missed by all.

Donnie is survived by his father Johnny Danford, Sr. of Whiteriver; brother Johnny Danford, Jr of Whiteriver; two half brothers, Rog Tenejieth of Whiteriver, Rich Tenejieth serving in the military; five aunts, Rosalita, Caroline, Margaret, Geraldine, and Carol; one uncle Harvey, along with many cousins, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday Sept. 19, at the North Fork Miracle Church. A two-day wake will begin at 10 a.m. Friday Sept. 17. Interment will be in the Whiteriver Cemetery.
