Lorraine A. Thomas, 74, of Shumway passed away in Snowflake, AZ on July 3, 2009. She was born in Houston , TX , to Claude Ross and Zulema Hasty, on August 9, 1934. Lorraine moved to California and lived in the Fresno area until 1970 when she moved to Apache Junction, AZ to be closer to family. In 1978 she moved to Shumway , AZ , where she enjoyed farming, and was active in the 4-H Program. Lorraine was a very talented crafter. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and keeping her yard and garden beautiful. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Fraley and Patricia "Tricia" (Chad) Brewster, seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Andy) Teel, Seth Thibodeaux, April (Dave) Postert, Daniel (Julie) Fraley, Adreanna (Matthew) Cosper, Brandt Perkins, and Chance Perkins, three great grandchildren, Mathew Teel, Jake Fraley and Madison Fraley.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Ross and Zulema Hasty, a sister Miriam, brothers George, Robert, Pat, Alfred, and Fred Hasty.

Services will be held at the Lovelake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, on Saturday, July 11, with a viewing at 10:00 AM in the Relief Society Room and funeral at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Shumway Cemetery, Shumway, AZ.
