Randi Marie Porter, 60, of Show Low, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008, at Summit Medical Center in Show Low.

Randi was born July 16, 1948, in New York, NY, the daughter of Olaf and Anna (Bolquist) Alfsen. She was raised and attended school in New York, graduating from high school in 1966. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Phoenix in 1993. She was married to John Porter on October 7, 1967, in New York. She worked in banking for State Street & Manufacturers Hanover. She relocated to Mesa in 1980, and had worked for Bank of America, Maricopa County Probation Department and Ugly Duckling Auto Sales. She came to Show Low two years ago. She enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing & knitting and water & travel. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include her husband, John of the home; two daughters, Randi Margaret (Andy) Albert and Kathleen Porter, both of Mesa; a son, John O. Porter of Tempe; four grandchildren, Tyler Coyle, Mathew Shelton, Tabitha Albert and Tommy Albert and her best friend, Karen Huegel. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 4, at Black’s Mortuary. Attendees will process to Show Low Cemetery at 10:30 A.M. for graveside services.
