Seth Norvel Owens
(October 11, 1929 - February 17, 2008)

Seth Norvel Owens, Born Dec. 11, 1929 in Show Low, AZ. Passed Peacefully in his sleep at home in Fountain Green, Utah Feb. 17, 2008 at the age of 78. He was raised in Show Low, AZ. And graduated from Snowflake Union High School in 1947. He served in the South Central States mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Pearl Bigler Feb. 26, 1952 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. He worked in the lumber industry as well as farming and ranching. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, gardening and raising horses and cattle. He served on the City Councils in both Show Low, AZ. and Fountain Green, UT. He knew no stranger and made any who entered his home feel like one of his own.

Survived by his wife of 56 years Pearl Bigler Owens and all nine of their children. Norvel (Clarice) Flagstaff Az., Loraine (Larry) Brinkerhoff Snowflake Az., Alvin (Sherice) Salina UT., Cyndee (Corwin) Larson Taylor Az., Judy (Gene) Woolford Show Low Az., Connie (Tom) Kakavas Show Low Az., TaLea (Paul) Cox Taylor Az., Derrin (Heather) Fountain Green UT., Monty (Lori) Farmington New Mexico. 36 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Brothers Duane (Doris) Ojai Ca., Moylen (Joy) Show Low Az., Sisters Lapriel (Ed) Gillespie Taylor Az., and Renae (Lucky) Theabold Mesa Az.

He was preceded in death by parents Almon D. and Alta Ellsworth Owens, Brothers Cecil, Orr, Mervin, Troy and Abner Owens, Sisters Cecilia Perkins, Norma Ellsworth and three grandchildren, Theresa Horn Bosshardt, Almon Kyle Owens and Keith Norvel Owens.

Viewing to be held prior to funeral services on Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Downtown Building. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery.
