Gordon P. Kopp “Bud”

Gordon P. Kopp, 80, of Yuma, formerly of Elgin, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at his home. He was born July 21, 1925 in Elgin, the son of Louis and Emma Kopp.

He was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge in Yuma and Elgin and a member of the Carpenters Union Local 363.

He traveled extensively, was a fine artist and raised and showed Scottish Terriers.

Bud is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years, Liz; children Terrie (Vic) Leatherman, of Elgin, Ill., Connie (Chad) Jonson, of Redfield, Iowa, Patti (Eddie) Fields, of Centralia Wash., Craig (Crystal), of Golden Valley, Ariz., Jerry, of Carson City, Nev., and Scott Kopp, of Seattle, Wash, Mary French , Jim and Jill Cromwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara; and sister, Eleanor.
