Amador Franco Guzman, 64 of Dudleyville, passed away at his home Friday, Sept. 20, 2002. A life-time resident of the Copper Basin area, he was born in Hayden, April 30, 1938 to Francisco G. and Maria Franco Guzman. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and worked for ASARCO as a heavy equipment operator for 34 years before retiring in 1998. He enjoyed hunting and liked to cook and bake. He also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Gloria Ann Guzman, of Dudleyville; daughter, Francine L. Guzman, and son, Phillip Amador Guzman, both of Tempe; sister, Julie (Y.T.) Martinez of Hayden; brothers, Frank (Betty) Guzman of Dudleyville, Peter Guzman of Winkelman, Tereso Guzman of Hayden, Abe Guzman of Winkelman, Felix (Norma) Guzman of Tucson and many nieces and nephews. Rosary was held Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny. Father William Taft celebrated the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, also at the church. Interment with military honors followed at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Apache Trail in Mesa. Arrangements were made by Griffith Mortuary. Published September 25, 2002. |
