Vicki Lynn Cardwell, age 52, Nurse Supervisor at the University Medical Complex, passed away in Sedona Monday, Aug. 26, 2002. She resided in Kearny with her husband, Jackie Frank, while she acted as the Head Nurse at UMC’s 5-East for two shifts. She was born in Port Clinton, Ohio, June 5, 1950, and had lived in the Kearny area for 33 years. For six of those years she worked with the 4-H Club raising hogs and other animals which she loved. She loved gardening with plants and flowers as well as collecting ceramic angels and cardinals. She also enjoyed playing cards, often with her husband, and using slot machines. She belonged to various occupational organizations as an R.N. She is survived by her husband, Jackie Cardwell of Kearny; two sons, Philip (Anna) Bidegain of Globe, and Christopher Bidegain of Glendale and Kearny; father, Harold Foster of Superior; brothers, David Foster of Mesa, and Mark Foster of Kearny; sisters, Cathy Harmon of Round Mountain, Nevada, and Bonnie Campos of Las Vegas, Nevada. The three grandchildren are Elora, Shiree and Tyler. She was also godmother to Jennifer Campos Anderson. Pastor Ed Grant of the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd conducted the funeral service Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at the Ray High School Auditorium. Interment was at Mt. Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami. Arrangements were made by Griffith Mortuary. The Superior Sun September 3, 2002. |
