The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Ariz. January 16, 1959 Services Pending for Helen Ready Miss Helen Ready passed away in Community hospital early Thursday morning. Funeral services had no been arranged at he time The SUN went to press, but they will probably be held in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with burial in the Wickenburg Cemetery. She had been in ill health for some time. Miss. Ready and her sister Josephine came to Wickenburg 10 years ago from Indianapolis, Ind., and in November, 1949, opened The Bustle on Frontier Street. Later they moved the business to its present location on the California Highway where it has grown into a business of prominence patronized by customers from throughout the nation. Out of respect for Miss. Ready, The Bustle is closed this week. Miss. Ready was born in Conersville, Ind., and was raised in Indianapolis where she was an executive in the advertising department of L. C. Ayres & Co., a larger department store, a position she held until moving to Wickenburg. She and her sister Josephine resided here in a home they recently purchased in Maguire Addition. Surviving in addition to the Wickenburg sister, are the father, W. E. Ready of Rushville, Ind., one other sister, Sister Mary Teresa of Evansville, Ind., and two brothers John Ready of Indianapolis and James P. Ready of Seattle, Wash. See Also: Find A Grave |
