The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Az Oct. 30, 1959 Milton Cordray Rites Pending Funeral services are pending for Milton Cordray, 74 year-old Wickenburg resident, who died in Community Hospital Monday evening. Mr. Cordray had lived here many years and friends say he spoke of helping the late Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, who operated the Hassayampa Hotel in years gone by, build Wickenburg’s first theatre at the east end of the underpass. He was a plasterer by trade until his retirement. He lived for many years at 526 North Adams, then resided in a trailer at Forepaugh for about one year and just about a month ago had moved his trailer to Wittmann. He was injured in a fall about two weeks ago. Monday he was brought to Community Hospital by ambulance and died a few hours after his arrival. His wife died in Wickenburg in 1953. Only known survivor is a step-daughter, Mrs. Verna Hutson, Los Angeles. Mr. & Mrs. Perry Ball were his neighbors here and were considered as his closest friends. See Also: Find A Grave |
