| Gary Rand Hatch (April 29, 1932 - July 31, 2009) Gary Rand Hatch died quietly with his family at his side on Friday, July 31, 2009 at his home in Pinedale, Arizona. He was 77 years old. Gary was born on April 29, 1932 in Taylor, Arizona to the late L.J. "Jack" and Julia (Wakefield) Hatch. All of Gary's growing up years were spent in Taylor. He went to college on a basketball scholarship and graduated from Eastern Arizona College and Arizona State University. Gary taught school in Show Low for eight years and at Snowflake Junior High School for twenty-two years. He became a legend in his own time for his expertise as a hunter. Sports, especially those his grandchildren participated in, were a great part of his life. Gary and his wife served an LDS Mission to Guatemala. He also was a temple worker in the Snowflake Temple for five years. He is survived by his wife, of 57 years, Jo Ann (Finney) Hatch; one son, Tom (Kathy) Hatch; two daughters: Randa Jo (Greg) Jacobson and Jennifer Hatch; eight grandchildren: Kodi (Kyson) Burden, Matthew (Sarah) Jacobson, Josh (Nikki) Jacobson, Emily (Tim) Mott, T.J. Hatch, Douglas Hatch, Marcus Hatch and Megan Hatch as well as four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Boyd H. Hatch (Joyce), Ezra Max Hatch (Jean) and one sister, Myrtle Marie Reidhead. The public visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Owens Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th South in Snowflake, Arizona. The funeral service will begin 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Taylor Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 309 W. Willow Street in Taylor.
