Mark Adrian Tostado, 31, died May 26, 2003 in Lake Havasu City.

He was born and raised in Holbrook and was involved in many activities. In high school he was a part of the football team and the wrestling team, he lettered in both sports, taking second place at the state wrestling tournament. Mark graduated from Holbrook High School in 1989, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army Airborne 101st stating at Ft. Ord, California. He traveled to several countries while in the Army. He joined the Reserves after being Honorably Discharged in Feb. 1992 and was called back to Active Duty from 2000-2001 serving in Bosnia. While in the Reserves he completed his Associate of Arts Degree and later his Bachelors in Kinesiology in 1999.

Mark was a personal trainer and had his own business. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he recently started to learn how to snow board, continuing his love of athletics.

He is survived by his mother, Juanita Maria Tostado of Holbrook; two brothers, Carlos (Deborah) Tostado Jr. of Washington, Patrick Tostado of Huntington Beach, California; three sisters, Beverly Ross of Costa Mesa, California, Elaine (Gilbert) Pacheco of Lakeside, Jacquelyn Tostado (Jesus Soto) of Pinetop; grandmother Carlotta Padilla of Scottsdale; four nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Tostado, Sr.

Funeral services were held June 2 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Holbrook. Grave side services will be held Tuesday, June 3 in the Holbrook Cemetery.

Owens Mortuary of Holbrook handled the arrangements.
