In Loving Memory of Mark Kristopher Baker, born November 22, 1958 in Holbrook, AZ.

Mark went to rest on June 27, 2006. Mark will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. He was an honored Marine from 1975 to 1979. He spent a tour of duty in the Philippines for 18 months. He also served as a Non-Commissioned Officer, Antitank Assault man, and Squad Leader. During his service he earned an excellent marksmanship award. The Marine Corps made a life-long impact on his life and gave him the discipline and strength to even overcome cancer.

Mark's favorite pastimes included spending time with his family and his grandchildren during his many fishing, 4-wheeling, hunting and camping trips. Mark had a large abundance of talents, but closest to his heart were art and poetry. He had a remarkable way with words that left an impression in all of us.

Mark is survived by his dad, Delbert (Mary) Baker, of Kingman; his three children, Jason (Yvonne) Evans of White Mountain Lake, and two daughters Dawn (Bodhi) Marsh, and Sharon (Fernando) Frost; his loving companion of seven years, Cheryl Vaughn and her three children of Joseph City; his two grandchildren Alyssa and Spencer of White Mountain Lake with one soon to arrive; his two sisters Beth (Steve) Miller, and Lisa (Craig) Freyou; and many nieces and nephews.

His mother Linda Alice Guttery-Block preceded him in death in 2000.

Mark, we as your family bid you a fond farewell. Your spirit and love remains behind with everyone who loved and cared for you. "We love you Dad, Son, Brother, and Friend."

There will be a graveside service at Holbrook Cemetery Wednesday, July 5 at 10 am. Mark loved animals very much. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the Humane Society.

Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
