Clem (Doc) Miraldi

Clem "Doc" Miraldi, 77, of Cordes Lakes, died Aug. 19, 2006. Doc was born on Feb. 21, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., to Clement Miraldi, Sr. and Ann Hughes.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Marine Corps prior to attending Arizona State University on a football scholarship.

Doc began his lifelong career with Maricopa County July 1, 1955, working as a Deputy Sheriffs Officer, later moving on to become an Advocate for the County Attorneys Office. He retired from the County April 1, 1992. Once retired, Doc moved to Cordes Lakes and traveled throughout the United States. He became an avid ham radio operator (K7DOC) and radio-controlled airplane operator, both of which he enjoyed tremendously.

He is survived by his children, Tina Abbey of Cottonwood, Gia Miraldi of Phoenix, Mark (Ellen) Miraldi of Scottsdale, John Miraldi of Casa Grande, Ariz. and 10 grandchildren.

The family is holding a private memorial service.
