R.C. peacefully passed away at his home with his wife Linda and niece Joanie at his side early Monday, Aug. 3, 2009. R.C. was born in Fresno, Calif. and graduated from Oceanside High in 1958.

He spent two years in the Army National Guard and four years in the U.S.A.F.

R.C. lived 20 years in San Bernardino, Calif. as an employee for the Southern Pacific Railroad. He then ventured to northern California and opened an auto parts store. Then moved to Oregon where he worked for the state of Oregon. In 1994, he moved to Chino Valley and worked several years for Ruger before retiring.

R.C. is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda; his daughters, Stephanie, Cristie and Ashley; his brother, Jim; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

R.C. was a big man with a huge heart. His laugh always brought joy to those who knew him. He was known for his generosity and left his home open to anyone in need. R.C. was a good husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was loved by all who knew him. We will miss his laughter and big loving arms that always gave you a hug. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping and fishing. His last words were his expression of love to his wife followed by, "I'm going fishing."

We will miss and love you forever.
