Francis Mark Day, 72, died Monday, April 24. 2006, in the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. Mark was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Niangua, Mo., the son of the Rev. Harold Vernon and Reva Ida Day.

Mark was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He would marry the former Sonia Chemello on Jan. 8, 1972.

He was a member of the CASA deAero radio control model aircraft club.

Mark enjoyed motorcycles, all types of motor sports and good times spent with his family and friends. He was most proud of his family.

Mark is lovingly survived by his wife of 34 years, Sonia; his children, Mark A. Day of La Center, Wash., Roger and his wife Kathryn Cline of Prescott, Ariz., and Donna and her husband Mitchell Elkins of Redlands, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Annika, Thea, Michael and Alex. He is also survived by his sisters, Norma Muhleman of Florissant, Mo., and Vivian and her husband Don Vishino of House Springs, Mo.

Celebration of Mark's Life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the Prescott United Methodist Church.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
