The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 10, 2007, p. A10 On Dec. 30, Anne Allbritten went to heaven. She died from complications from diabetes. Anne was born Aug. 24, 1923 in the Netherlands and came to America as a small child. She lived most of her life in Grand Rapids, Mich., where she met her husband Bill. They were married 58 years, until his passing two years ago. They also lived in Texas, Mexico and moved to Wickenburg, Ariz., in 1998. Anne's joy in life was traveling, sewing and being of service to her friends and family. She set an excellent example for her children with her positive attitude and resilience in all life's situations. Anne is survived by two loving children: daughter Tamlin Allbritten who works as an art therapist at Remuda Ranch in Wickenburg, and son Drew Allbritten who works for Charles R. Drew University in California. Anne has four grandchildren: Austin, Alexis, Kim, and Brandee. In addition, Anne is survived by cousin and best friend Shirley Sprague who lives in Michigan, as well as other relatives A celebration of Anne's life will be held at her daughter's home in Yarnell on Saturday, Jan. 27. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to R&R Respite Care Center at 246 N. Washington, Wickenburg AZ 85390, where Anne volunteered until health issues prevailed. Much appreciation goes to the staff at Sun West Nursing Home in Sun City West and Evercare Hospice who made our mother's passing as comfortable as possible. We send a special thanks to her close friends and neighbors Vera and Jackie, who helped care for our mom at the end of her life's journey. They are both angels. In God we continue to trust. |
