Mr. Lyle Raymond Thomas, age 84, passed away Feb. 9 in Sun City, Ariz. Memorial services will be held on Thursday (Feb. 15) at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Sam Weinschenk of the First Presbyterian Church and members of the Elks Lodge No. 2160 conducting services.

Lyle was born Jan. 23, 1923 in Rodman, N.Y., to Arthur Thomas and Anna Miles Thomas. He married Margaret “Maggie” J. Resseguie June 16, 1945 in Sackets Harbor, N.Y.

Lyle worked for the Watertown, N.Y., Board of Education for years until his retirement, then he and Maggie moved to Arizona, settling in Wickenburg. They loved to travel and spent many years traveling extensively throughout the United States and Canada.

Lyle restored antique cars and was a member of the Model “T” Ford Car Association. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge No. 2160 here in Wickenburg and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He and Maggie were very involved as antique car buffs and were members of the Antique Car Club in Wickenburg and had participated many years in the “Gold Rush Days” parades.

Lyle is survived by his wife Margaret “Maggie” Thomas of Wickenburg; children Sydney Ennis of Watertown, N.Y., and Craig Thomas of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren Darcy and Maggie Ennis of Florida; several nieces and nephews and a cousin in California; as wells as special friends Ken and Nikki Brown of Tumacacori, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by sisters Emmagene Flanders and Luella Rudink.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
