Robert William Powers was born Nov. 20, 1941 and passed away April 20, 2007. He was the son of William Powers and Dona Maloney, born in Brandon, Vt. Bob died in his Wickenburg home with wife Nancy by his side.

Bob is survived by his children James, Kristy, Robert and Stacy Powers; along with grandchildren Kristopher, Shaun, Carly, Natasha, Ashley and Dylan; two sisters in Bridgeport, Conn., Mary and Linda.

Bob married the “love of his life” Nancy Parker of Athol, Mass.

He was stationed in Germany where he served in the U.S. Armed Forces. He was a machinist at the Union Twist Drill in Athol, Mass., where he was an avid softball player for the Twist Drill.
He loved to raise and tend to the animals on his farm.

Bob was a volunteer firefighter in Massachusetts and Arizona.

He was a man who loved to crack a joke. He was a very generous man and loved by many.

He moved his family to Arizona in 1981. There he drove truck across country for J.B. Hunt for 20 years. He became a trainer for upcoming truck drivers.

In 1995 Bob moved back to New England to be close to his children and grandchildren. He worked and retired at Mrs. Murphy's Donut Shop, then back to Arizona with wife Nancy.

Bob loved the Red Sox and the Patriots, and never missed watching wrestling. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Most of all, Bob loved being with his family. A big man with an even bigger heart. He will be missed forever. Please remember our dad with the big smile and friendly hello he had for everyone.
