Mary Anna Gonsalves, 79, of Sun Lakes, AZ passed away peacefully on October 1, 2008. Mary was born Mary Anna Storrs on December 9, 1928, in Willows, California. She was raised around Red Bluff, CA and graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1947.

She married Robert (Bob) Gonsalves in 1947 and they lived in Gerber, CA until 1953 when at that time they moved to Flagstaff, AZ. In 1954 they moved to Snowflake, AZ to start a business, Western Moulding Co., and that is where they raised their family. Mary and Bob retired to Tempe and then to Sun Lakes.

Mary enjoyed dancing, working in her yard, sewing her own clothes and cooking. Her quick wit and warm smile always made her the life of the party. She was a caring and loving person to all and we will certainly miss her.

Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert (Bob) Gonsalves and their four sons, Richard, Don (Debbie), Jim (Tracy), John W. Gonsalves; 2 sisters Alice (Gene Kinne), Edith Chittenden; brother–in-law, John A. Gonsalves (Saralu); 13 grandkids; 10 great-grandkids.

At Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Snowflake there will a viewing 5:00 P.M., Thursday, October 9, 2008. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday October 10, 2008 at Our Lady of The Snows Catholic Church followed by a grave side blessing at the Snowflake Cemetery.
