Jimmy Gillette, 69, died Aug. 7, 2003 at his home in Lakeside where he lived. He worked for the Arizona State Highway Department and served in the Army from 1956 to 1958. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, cowboy and coached many little league teams. He is survived by his wife Paula N. Gillette; daughters, Cindy Smyers of Odessa, Texas; sisters, Blanche Smyers, Helen Martin and Marilyn Pollard and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Tom Gillette; parents, Sterling and Gert Gillette. Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 11 at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Pinetop. Fletcher's Mortuary in Show Low handled arrangements. |
