| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona May 10, 2007 Mary T. (Miletta) Pisto was born 85 years ago in Lowellville, Ohio. During the path of her life, she was a devoted wife to Rocco Pisto and a wonderful mother of daughters MaryJean and Carmel, and son Ferdinando. Mary also was a superb grandmother of 5: Rocco, Joseph, Tiana, Michael, and Mathew; and 1st great-grandchild Ryan Scott. An unbelievable strong and loving woman was lost on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, due to cancer. Mary was a matriarch, always putting her family first. She was a woman of great faith and vast knowledge. She is, no doubt, extremely loved and greatly missed. A visitation was held Friday, May 11, 2007 at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. in Scottsdale. Funeral Mass was on Saturday, May 12 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 6261 N. Granite Reef Rd., Scottsdale, followed by burial at Paradise Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute, Arizona State University, P.O. Box 872404, Tempe, AZ 85287. Submitted as part of Derek Paul Shields Eagle Scout Project 2009.
