Patricia A. (Blair) Mietzner, of Chandler, Arizona, died Friday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long fight to overcome Pulmonary Hypertension.

Viewing will be at Carr-Tenney Funeral Home at 2621 South Rural Road in Tempe. The Rosary will be said at 7:30.

A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Andrew the Apostle, 3450 W. Ray Rd, Chandler. Cremation will follow.

Pat was born in Sandwich, Illinois Sept. 12, 1942. She was a graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois. Following Nurses training she worked at the Carle Clinic in Urbana, Illinois. After moving to Arizona she worked at Mesa Lutheran for five years and then another 25 years at Scottsdale Memorial hospital Osborn campus, and at Greenbaum outpatient center as a surgical nurse.

She is survived by her husband Ted, her brother David WHITNEY of San Antonio, Texas and her mother, Ursuline WHITNEY of Mineral Wells, Texas; 4 children Jacqueline BLAIR-VODDE of Decatur, Illinois, Andrew, and Victoria BLAIR, and Jennifer PITTMANN of Mesa, AZ. She has 5 grandchildren.

She was an active member in the Salt River Chapter of A.O.R.N. She served as a delegate to the national convention numerous times. She was a member and advocate with the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.

Donations may be made to the association on her behalf. In addition she was active in different activities at her parish, St. Andrew the Apostle in Chandler, AZ.
