Hazel Henry, 87, died May 26, 2003 in Phoenix.

She was born Sept. 26, 1915 to William and Alice Mason of Richmond, Virginia. Hazel grew up in Stafford County, Virginia until she married Sam Henry (retired US Navy), and moved to Phoenix where she raised her children and grandchildren with love. Hazel resided in the same home until her passing, leaving the family with many memories of Grandma Henry. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She gave her time and love to each of them, and always made sure they had what they needed. She grew up in a small farming community and lived by her small town ways, morals and values until her death. She will be deeply missed and loved very much.

She is survived by two sons, Eugene (Mary) Henry of Phoenix, Gerald Henry of Phoenix; a daughter, Sharon Stuber of Sierra Vista; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sam; her mother, father, sister, one brother and her stepbrother. To meet her at the gates was her grandson Jason Music, whom she loved very much.

Grave side services were held Saturday, May 31 at the Taylor Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled arrangements.
