| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona December 22, 2004 Mary Ellen Sipes, 72, beloved mother and friend to all, passed away December 19, 2004. She was born April 11, 1932 in Prescott, Arizona, and moved to Mesa in 1964. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ben, in May of this year; the couple was married for 55 years. She is survived by her four sons: Bill, John, Pat, and Sam, her five grandchildren: Spencer, Travis, Victoria, Allison and Jonathon and her one sister, Ina Cloe Sunderhauss of Mesa, AZ. Services were at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, which is located at 43 S. Stapley Dr., in Mesa, AZ.
