Florence May (Pierce) Goodwin

A pioneer, she was a direct descendant of William Pierce (Uncle Billy),
one of the first settlers of Walnut Grove. Services were held in the
Arizona Funeral Home on Feb. 13, and graveside services were conducted
in the family cemetery at Walnut Grove.

She was survived by a son, Alvin, of Calif.; a daughter, Aurelia Nurmi
of Phoenix; a brother, George Pierce; 3 sisters, Winnifred Harper, of
Phoenix, Ruth Ruoff, of San Rafael, Calif., and Golda Linberg, of
Yakima, Washington; and one grandson.
