| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona August 9, 2004 Gayle Berling, 53, of Phoenix passed away Thursday, August 5, 2004. Gayle was born in Oklahoma and graduated from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She trained as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at the University of Arizona and worked in the field for 23 years, caring for newborns at Phoenix Children's, Good Samaritan, Desert Samaritan, and the Scottsdale Hospitals. She was respected and loved by colleagues and by the families for whom she cared. Gayle was our beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend; memories of her will be cherished. Memorial services held Wednesday, August 11 at the Messinger Mortuary and Chapel located at 7601 E. Indian School Road, Scottsdale, AZ. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Virginia G.
