Tammy Renae Mundell and Connor Leo Mundell passed away together on April 28, 2004, two weeks shy of Connor's expected birth date. Tammy and Connor left this world doing what Tammy enjoyed most which was serving others.

Born Feb. 10, 1975, this energetic and spirited young woman worked for the past two years as an emergency medical technician for Southwest Ambulance.

Prior to joining Southwest Ambulance, Tammy was a fulltime mother and homemaker, as well as a student, whose goal it was to become a midwife. A native of Moscow, Idaho, Tammy and her loving husband, Robert, were high school sweethearts who met in Moscow, were married in Sun River, Oregon and moved to Mesa in 1993.

A lover of purple flowers and the ocean, Tammy had volunteered at her church and at Sousa Elementary School in Mesa, and she also participated, as time allowed, in an East Mesa Moms' Club. She was a volunteer for the Sheriff's Posse and the Medical Rescue Team in Maricopa County as well as on the Pinal County Search and Rescue Team. Tammy who had recently learned to enjoy scuba diving with her co-workers, also volunteered on the Pinal County Dive Team.

Tammy will be dearly missed by her husband Robert; her five children, including Brianna Renae, 11, Madison Nadine, 7, Melody Ann,6, Jaidyn Kristine, 4, and Clayton Nathaniel, 3; her brother Kevin Krasselt and sister Rachael Kneale of Moscow, Idaho; her parents, Charles and Christine Krasselt, also of Moscow; her parents-in-law, Steven and Deborah Mundell of Phoenix; and all the members of her Southwest Ambulance family throughout Arizona.

Memorial services for Tammy were held Tuesday, May 4, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Main Street in Mesa. A fund has been established for the Mundell children at Arizona Federal Credit Union, in memory of their mother, who loved them more than anything else in the world.
