Gwenyth G. (Goar) Butler

Gwenyth G. Butler, died December 2, 2000. She was born on April 10, 1911 in Butte, Montana and later adopted by Elmer and Gunda Goar in Minnesota.

She retired in 1973 as the bookkeeper at Children's Medical Center, Phoenix and was the former owner, along with husband Edward, of radio station KBUN, Bemidji, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by Ed (1965) and son Dan (2000). Survived by sons Jerry (Penny) and Roger (Rosa) of Phoenix and Bruce (Marilyn) of Boston, eight grandchildren and several great-grand children.

A private memorial service has been held. A memorial fund for large print books has been established in her name, at the Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N Central Ave, Phx, AZ 85004, Attn: Amy Williams. Contributions to the fund, in lieu of flowers, greatfully appreciated by the family. Published in the Arizona Republic Thursday, December 14, 2000
