The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, August 08, 2009 John Eugene Hall, 77, of Prescott, Ariz., born Dec. 30, 1931, in Middletown, Ohio, passed away July 28, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. Services will take place at a later date. Chino Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with final arrangements. ---------------------------------------- The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, August 24, 2009 John Eugene Hall, born Dec. 30, 1931 in Middletown, Ohio, died in his home on July 28, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. Gene came to Arizona with his parents as a child and settled in Phoenix, Ariz. He attended Phoenix Union High School where he distinguished himself in varsity track. On an athletic scholarship he attended ASU and was subsequently drafted into the U.S. Army in 1952 serving honorably in Korea. He served as an officer on the Phoenix Police Department from 1958 to 1963. He volunteered his time as a Valley Big Brothers. In 1968 Gene married Willow Jean Ross with her daughters, Lauren Rene and Valarie Lynn. He began his lifelong career as a residential and commercial real estate broker in 1970 and was an avid historian on the State of Arizona, the Civil War and World Wars I and II. Gene is survived by a host of loyal friends who will long remember him. Information provided by survivors. |
