Angus Hopkins III, 70, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009. Angus was born November 8, 1938, in New York, New York. Angus and his wife have been residents of Verde Valley for the past 14 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Kathryn (MeMe) and Angus Hopkins Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Bette Hopkins, whom he loved dearly and spoke fondly of to everyone he met. He is also survived by his sons Angus IV, Brad, daughters Debbie, Gail, Jody, and his many grandchildren & great grandchildren.

Angus worked as a Certified Residential Appraiser through his company Hopkins & Hopkins. As a youth, Angus was an avid swimmer and worked as a lifeguard. He never missed an episode of the Price is Right and could name the title and artist of any Oldie on the radio. Angus and Bette shared their love for "their girls" (the poodles), and would often watch dog shows together. Angus will be greatly missed by his many family and friends.
