Dalene Kay Fuqua, or "Dutch" as she was known to her friends and family, ascended to Heaven on Friday, July 17, 2009. She was born on July 26th, 1951, in Alhambra, California, and resided most of her life here in Phoenix where she had many friends and a family she loved.

She married Francis M. Fuqua (Frank) on April 23, 1977, and they were blessed with two sons, Francis M. Fuqua III (Tre), and Eric F. Fuqua. She was also blessed with five stepchildren Dale, Sharron, Sandy, Gary, and Susan Fuqua.

Dalene will be remembered for her generous spirit, hospitality, warmth, humor, and love for everyone around her.

She is survived by her husband Frank, sons Tre and Eric, daughter-in-law Jill, her grandson Frankie, her siblings Melody Carson, Dale Carson, Janice Millhouse, and Patti Jo Millhouse; many nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren and other family members who loved her very much.

Dalene had a strong belief in the spirit and guardianship of Heaven's angels, and though she will be greatly missed, her family feels blessed to know she now watches over them.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 26th, at 1 pm at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home at 4800 E. Indian School Rd.
