| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ July 25 2006, p. A11 Ernest Evanich, age 71, passed away July 19, 2007 in Surprise, Ariz. He was born in Springfield, Ill., to Joseph and Anna Evanich in 1936. Ernest attended schools in Springfield and later moved to California in the 1960s. He moved to Arizona in 1990 and settled in Wickenburg in 2001. Ernest was a member of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge 2160 and also a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna Evanich, brother George Evanich in 1994, and sister Ann DiCenso in 1999. Ernest is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and George Ehlert of Walled Lake, Mich., brothers and sisters-in-law John and Terry Evanich of Derby, Conn., and Joseph and Deloris Evanich of Sebring, Fla., brother Thomas L. Evanich of Springfield, Ill., and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass was held Saturday, July 21 at 2 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father George Highberger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home. |
