Born Bethel June Daniels on June 19, 1919 at Red Wing, Minn., the daughter of Bert Jacob Daniels and Lettie Adell Crouch Daniels. She married Jack Reed Hunt on Feb. 12, 1939 at Long Beach, Calif. There were two children of that marriage, Ricky and Gary. Beth divorced in 1955, and raised her two sons until they entered military service in 1964. She married Henri Louis Valette on April 15, 1993, enlarging the family with Henri’s three daughters Renee, Jeanne, and Denise. And, to her sons, it seemed that God had given her Henri as a reward for her perseverance and fortitude in raising two young boys in a good home and a wonderful setting. Henri and Beth lived in Rolling Hills, Calif., and passed their time building a vacation home at Eagles Roost Airdrome in Aguila, Ariz. As time went on, they retired and moved permanently to their vacation home where they enjoyed visits from their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beth moved to Florida just a few months before her death to live under the care of her son Ricky. She enjoyed her time in the Sunshine state, however she insisted on her return eventually to her beloved desert home. She is predeceased by a sister Juanita Mae Daniels Evans and a brother Wynot Berdell Daniels. Beth is survived by her sons Ricky Hunt of Orlando, Fla., and Gary Hunt of Los Molinos, Calif., her stepdaughters Renee Valette of Colorado, Jeanne Breunig of Los Angeles, Calif., and Denise Debord of Tampa, Fla. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchilren. Memorial services will be held for Beth at Aguila in February 2008. Her ashes along with Henri’s will be spread upon the ground that they grew to love. |
