Darla “Jeannie” Davis was born on Feb. 12, 1959 in Phoenix, Ariz. She passed away on Sept. 18, at the City of Hope in Phoenix after a six-month battle with cancer.

For several years Jeannie lived in Wickenburg and was employed by Woody’s and Down To Earth Construction. At the time of her death she was employed by Banner Health as an endoscopy tech at the Surgi-Center across from Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.

Jeannie loved her children and family and had a soft spot in her heart for pets, especially dogs. She enjoyed camping and fishing and especially holiday gatherings. Her wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Baker and her sister Deborah Halverson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Dana Dame, daughter Jessica Dame, dad and step mom Kenneth and Marie Baker, sister Linda Lindsey and brother and sister-in-law Kenneth, Jr. and Bonnie Baker. She is also survived by her uncle David (Patty) Baker, aunt Mary Belle McPherson, aunt Betty (Don) Miller and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday (Sept. 29) at 10 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church in Wickenburg. Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Banner Health Foundation, City of Hope, P.O. Box 1897, Phoenix, AZ 85001-9940.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
