Emogene Starr, 86, of Phoenix AZ, passed away December 12, 2000. She was born February 15, 1914 in Brownsville, Texas. Emogene volunteered at her church & various other organizations in Phoenix and Tucson. She is best remembered for her humor, generosity, loving & understanding character. She is survived by her husband Murray P. Starr, daughters Marigene Starr, Katherine (Nona) Turner & their spouses, 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, a sister Marie S. Clark & niece Mary Talamini. A memorial service was held at the Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 7321 N. 10th St., Phoenix, Arizona Friday, December 15, 2000. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 and/or Orangewood Presbyterian Church, 7321 N. 10th St., Phoenix, AZ 85020. Arrangements by A.L. Moore Grimshaw, Sunnyslope Chapel, 614 E.
