The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, August 17, 2009 John R. Ksenzulak Jr. died peacefully at home on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009 after a re-occurrence of a rare cancer. He was born in Evergreen Park, Ill., on May 29, 1960. He went to Holy Rosary Slovak in Chicago until moving to Tinley Park, Ill. where he grew up and went to Kirby Elementary School and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School. He was employed at Tinley Park, Park District as maintenance foreman and mechanic for eleven years. An early entrepreneur, he started his own successful remodeling business in 1989 called JRK Services. Some of his clients went so far as to call him a Master at carpentry. He met and married Cynthia Strick from Country Club Hills, Ill. in 1983 and they celebrated their 25th anniversary last year. They were blessed with two children, Evan, in 1989 and Jessica in 1991, who have grown up to make him very proud. They moved to Prescott Valley, Ariz. in 1997 and shortly after John found a partner and started another successful business, Finished Line Tile. Due to his cancer the business was closed. While recovering from surgery he studied for his Contractors License and was licensed and created Circle 4K Development in 2005, He was then able to complete a dream, building houses. John enjoyed camping and traveling throughout his life and has seen most of this beautiful country with his family and friends. His love of speed and NHRA events was where many trips were taken. He loved cars and working on them and they also brought him to attend many car shows. He also enjoyed his weekends boating at his cottage in Monticello, Ind. during the 1990s. He was active in his son's sport of Competitive Target Shooting and recently became an NRA Certified Instructor and Director of the Junior Team at The Prescott Sportsmen's Club. Teaching the Juniors brought much enjoyment to him as he felt it is through the kids that our Second Amendment right will be protected. By being around the team he also began shooting more and received his Marksman Classification in High Power rifle after attending the national matches at Camp Perry in 2007 with his son's team.
