Frances Armenta

Frances Armenta, 68, passed away in Mesa on September 10, 2004. Frances was born in Queen Creek, AZ and resided in Arizona her entire life.

She received an Associates Degree from Mesa Community College and became an educator in the Mesa School District. She worked primarily with children whose native language was not English. Her contributions have been felt throughout the community in many ways. This was work she was born to do.

She met her husband, Joe "Sonny" Armenta in 1955 and were wed a year later and were married for 48 years. She is also survived by sons, Ray Armenta and Mark Armenta; daughter, Veronica Easter and 9 grandchildren.

We love you Mom and Sweetheart. You will always be with us. Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, with a Rosary service at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa. Mass was held Thursday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 141 N. Macdonald, Mesa. Published in The Arizona Republic on 9/14/2004.
